As someone who uses powders to boost their protein intake, the usual shakes can get boring pretty quickly.
Whether you're into fitness and nutrition, or you're vegan and find it hard to get enough protein from other food sources, protein powders are excellent. But, we sometimes need to use our imagination to mix things up and create new, exciting recipes.
Of course, it is 100% plant-based meaning it's vegan-friendly.
Peanut Butter Protein Power – Vegan Smoothie Recipe
This recipe uses the Core Plant-Based Protein in the flavour Choc-o-late, but you could choose one of our other flavours too. Why not try Vanilla Bean or Strawberry Delight?
This protein powder has 16g of protein per scoop, a complete amino acid profile, and a BCAA ratio of 2:1:1.
The Choc-o-late flavour is rich and smooth with a perfect amount of chocolatey sweetness.
- One frozen banana
- One cup of almond milk
- 3x scoops of Core Plant-Based Protein
- 1 tbsp of peanut butter
- Cacao nibs for the top
Put all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend. Pour into a large glass and sprinkle with cacao nibs.
